Anyone know of some program that I could type down events on a certain date and when that date came up I would get a pop up on my computer reminding me of that event?

kind of works, but I need something that pops up as I use my PC.

http://essentialpim.com/pc-version might work, but I'm not sure if it has notifications. There is a free, and paid version. I think the free version is good enough.
