Ever had a Windows Update which caused Windows to break?

Yes, I once had Windows Update made my computer keep restarting endlessly, and I can't login. I had to go into Windows safe mode to do a system restore. I also had Windows Update make my card reader stop working after it updated the drivers.

Nope can't say that I have. I have had updates unsuccessfully install,but never bork anything.

I also had unsuccessfully installed updates as well when I used Windows Vista.

It's happened to me many times on Windows XP with Service Packs (SP).
Which is terrible, because uninstalling SP just totally messed up your windows files, forcing you to format and reinstall.

Windows Vista Service Pack 2 refused to install for me until I formatted my hard drive and did a clean install of Windows Vista Home Premium which was annoying.
