Yes, I have to change persmission in Vista's registry when I either install or reinstall software. It is kind of annoying.

I have yet to reinstall the software, but it sounds like I never want to.
Nope, you probably wouldn't want to since you have to look for the key, add user name to the user box, and make your user name an owner of the registry key, and what really sucks is that you have to restart the install or uninstall program.
