Extra HDMI slots

As the time draws closer for me to hook up a Wii U to my already crowded set up, I need some extra slots for my Tv and wondering what kind of extra switch I can hook up to put more HDMI cables into.

I've heard of a few HDMI splitters before. They should work, not sure myself. I'm going to be having the same issue and they were suggested to me.

I've looked at a few on amazon, they have a lot of negative reviews that makes me hesitant.

A HDMI extension cable will make it easier to switch cables from one console to another. It is also cheaper than a switcher, and it is less likely to break.

Why is it now that I've taken trouble shooting that I'm noticing more male and female type wires?

Anyways, I'm lazy So I rather have something that everything plugs into.
