Blame society for not accepting any other image than the "jocks and cheerleaders are popular" image. I love the people saying, "Oh, Emos, Goths, and Punks are so cool because they don't like to follow society's norms!".

So? The people who follow society's norms are cool? Hell no. Anyone who follows society to a T is a lapdog and a moron. People have a right to question society and its mostly idiotic standards. We have an obligation to object to society and its rules, and to defy its image. If we don't, we are only forwarding authoritarianism and cutting down our own individuality.

but yeah people have the right to do what ever they want as long as it is within the law. those who do follow society to the letter well like you said lapdog.
