Facebook used to catch a burgular

New Zealand police have arrested a safe burglar by using the popular social networking website Facebook to identify and track him down.

Queenstown police in southern New Zealand posted security-camera footage and pictures showing the man's face as he tried to break into the safe of a local tavern on Monday.

When this guy put his pictures out on Facebook, the police used that to their advantage to identify him.

We need to do this more, honestly.

It was a good move on the police's part to bust this guy using the web; it was easier, cheaper, and gave the an opportunity to see what his hobbies and interests were.

I think there are websites that already do this, but not a lot of people go on those websites. like America most Wanted. I just think more people should go on those websites to help catch people.
