Todd Howard, the creative lead at Bethesda, has suggested that Fallout 4's PC mods could eventually be accessed from PlayStation 4, hours after revealing the feature for Xbox One.

Hopefully Sony allow this otherwise PC mod support for XB1 will be a big seller of consoles.

Sony has always been pretty restrictive, especially towards modding. Even if it does get through, it will be so filtered and held back barely anyone would want to even mod for it. The same goes for the Xbox one, where modders would have to work extra hard to possibly get their mod through. Even then, they couldn't even make money off their mods, and I have a horrible feeling this will hurt the mod community not only on consoles, but on PC as well. Another thing we have to worry about are the strengths of consoles. Consoles have limited power, and as benchmarks have shown, they're equal to a low-mid range pc. They probably won't be able to handle any ENBS at all, or more than 20 mods at most.

People are really hyped up about this but I think that they don't realize that, like Yosostupid is saying, the consoles aren't strong enough to handle the intense mods usually released for PC and that Microsoft and Sony are very restrictive about what goes on their systems so it's probably a pain to get mods released on the console versions of FO4.

Still, all we can do is wait and see.

I figured they would go to the ps4 as well. I mean seriously, why make a product on two systems, then let one thrive and the other die?

No shock value here. Just think back to the E3 conference. He never said the use of mods was exclusive to microsoft, only the Fallout 3 free.

People shouldn't have even had to think about this. The game is months away from retail. Why would they announce something THAT IMPORTANT as exclusive to one system just to become the bain of the other system's audience?

And with the PS4 outselling on most multiplatforms it would have been flat-out bad business to exclude them from mods.
