Far Cry 3 Announced

Ubisoft has officially announced Far Cry 3.

This shooter from Ubisoft Montreal returns the series to a tropical setting, with the player assuming the role of a man named Jason Brody who finds himself stranded on an island inhabited by a band of insane killers.

Ah yes, the destroyer of your current graphics card, forcer of upgrades, returns for some seriously intense graphics. I can't afford to upgrade right now so I'll have to pass. Be sure to wear sunglasses.

Looks almost like the original Crysis, surprised it is running on a console unless they dumbed down graphics and it's just hard to tell by watching the footage. I wasn't really impressed, I bought Far Cry 2 during a Steam sale and so far it hasn't managed to keep me interested so I haven't finished it yet.

Looks like a mix of Far Cry and Far Cry 2 to me, somehow. Which is great! Hopefully it's better than Far Cry 2, which was awful. The original Far Cry is, so far, the best and I still consider Crysis to be the REAL Far Cry 2.
