Loved Far Cry 3 so was excited to play this. it was basically more of the same, maybe a little less interesting overall but the villain was very good in my opinion. Has anyone else played this yet? What did you think?

Woah, I remember now. Far Cry 3 is not the only far cry series I've played. I've noticed the man in the picture and it seems familiar to me. I remember now that he is the one of the characters after I've played the far cry 4!
I played this for two hours and then never came back to it again. It isn't even because it's a particularly bad game or anything. All things considered, it's actually a very solid open-world FPS. The problem is that all it felt like to me was an expansion pack for Far Cry 3. I enjoyed Far Cry 3 a lot, but I wouldn't be the first one to say that some of the gameplay mechanics for the Far Cry series can get quite tedious. You can only climb so many towers and liberate so many bases before things start feeling stale. When I find myself feeling like I'm doing the same thing over and over with no real motivation to continue or variety to keep things feeling fresh, I'm done with a game.
