Certainly an interesting setting, I'm hoping they're not too heavy-handed with it. I enjoyed far Cry 4, but completely skipped Primal since it seemed like more of the same and by all accounts wasn't all that great.
I really like the Far Cry series so I think I'll be giving this iteration a chance. I started playing at FC2 which was okay but lacking in many areas. Then there was FC3 which was leaps and bounds ahead of its predecessor, and while FC4 wasn't too different I think it polished up what FC3 did right.
I don't know what it was about Primal but I played an hour of it and just wasn't interested in it any more. However given the interesting new setting and gameplay mechanics, I think this one will be far better.
Big Far Cry fan here. I even played the original first ones. My favorite so far has been Far Cry 3 though. I loved its setting and the crazy storyline... and then you have Vaas as the perfect villain. The only Far Cry game I didn't play yet was the Primal one. I just felt like it looks way too similar to Far Cry 4 so I didn't buy it.
I am for sure excited about this one. I really like the controversial theme that it brings - it already sparked up some discussions and people complaining about it. The setting is lovely, I really enjoy the natural and realistic environment. It seems to have some new things added like the awesome chopper? looking forward to it and seeing where the story takes us.
I was already pretty excited about this, and I am even more so now.
It seems like they're ready to get back to the roots of 3&4 without all the problems and general just-not-as-goodness of Primal. Hopefully they make some new innovations too - I liked 4 but it was too similar to 3 imo.
Looks great! Very exciting, I'm hoping this one to be better than the 4th one, the change of setting gives the game some original feattures, looks awesome!
