Favorite for each generation.....?

What is your favorite game from each generation?

For me, it would have to be the following......

For the NES, that would have to be Super Mario Bros. 3
For the SNES, that would have to be Super Mario World
For the N64, that would have to be Donkey Kong 64
For the GameCube, that would have to be Luigi's Mansion
For the Wii, that would have to be Super Mario Galaxy (I'm going to go with the 1st one)
For the Wii U, that would have to be Super Mario 3D World
For the Switch (so far), that would have to be Super Mario Odyssey


Yes, I know they're all Nintendo consoles but that's what I've normally played over the years. You can do that for X-Box or Playstation as well, if you prefer those consoles. The trick is you can only choose 1 game per generation.

For the N64, Perfect Dark 64
For the GameCube, The Legend of Zelda Collection (ha! Loop hole in your rules )
For the Wii, The Last Story
For the Wii U, Bayonetta 2
For the Switch, it will most likely be Super Mario Odyssey.

For the PS1, Final Fantasy 9
For the PS2, .hack series (it is multipart games but it's just one story broken up)
for the PS3, Valkyria Chronicles
for the PS4, still to be determined.

I like your list though, even if you found it to be a hard question. Some of your games are ones that I remember and some of them are ones that I have not idea what they are. Especially the Playstation games since I don't have any of my own consoles.

DS: Super Mario 64 DS (Mainly because of AR)
3DS: Kid Icarus Uprising (Link Between World is close too)

If I did have to stick to your list rules though, I would choose Skies of Arcdia for Gamecube, even if it is a sega port.

I just enjoyed the story and gameplay better. I blame the card game.
