Favorite shonen anime that isn't a battle shonen

Do you have any such favourite shonen anime?
To be honest, I can't think of any such shonen. Do you guys feel the same?

Shonen is just a target demographic, and just means “boy”, so “shonen manga” just means “boys manga” or “manga for boys”. The genre is totally irrelevant.

A lot of the shonen magazines explicitly have shonen in the title, and you’ll open it up and see the most random hodgepodge of genres in it. Shonen Jump has Naruto, One Piece, and had DBZ and Death Note previously is also pretty famous for harem Romcoms like Nisekoi and Bokuben.

Weekly Shonen Magazine by Kodansha has Fire Force and Rent A Girlfriend in it.

So yeah, it’s a useless term when it comes to genres.
