Which one is your favourite? I grew up with Mario Kart 64 which i absolutely loved even if it was the 50hz Pal version. These days I probably play Double Dash more than any of the series but you'd probably have to say Mario Kart 8 is the best.

Super Mario kart for me, N64 games were also good. MK8 isn't too bad either.

Mario Kart 7 was the only one I 100%'d and it has a mod pack for more than the base game. I used to know the exact way to get the most shortcuts without sacrificing speed. It was a very limited game even with customization, but it was way easier for me to understand the drift mechanics than Double Dash, and the track designs never felt unfair like say DK Mountain's narrow bridge and the Mushroom Bridge railing ramps. Way more accessible in 7 but it had better fundamentals to their track designs.

Wanted to get that recently for my pals to play with when we meet up, but so over priced.
The GameCube skyrocketed after the pandemic started. Perfect storm of lockdowns and Zoomers being old enough to buy back their childhood games.
My mates snakes all of the time on that game and is pretty perfect at it, I hate playing him. I do love baby park, amazing track.

Snaking was on DS.
Yeah can still be done in Double Dash, exactly the same premise. Probably wasn't called snaking back then but it could be done albeit it was more difficult than the DS version.

It can work with the same speed and weight karts maybe, but I think it would be solely off on the drivers' directions and not based on a niche mechanic literally named snaking.

Don't break the game disc, it's expensive to replace.
The UK Pal version isn't that expensive really, you can pick it up for between £20 and £30 depending on condition.
