Favourite RPG Genres?

Shouldn't Pokémon be an RPG genre? I mean, it is turn-based, don't get me wrong, but with the popularity it has over all these decades makes it stand out among any other RPG of the same type that ever existed! This deserves Pokémon getting it's own RPG classification!
Yes Pokémon should be in the RPG/JRPG genre.
I love RPGs. JRPGS tend to be more creative than WRPGS so I much prefer JRPGS and the Waifu stuff originated from JRPGs too with WRPGS incorporating waifu stuffs too later lol started with Baldur's Gate I which Bioware made to rival JRPGs.

I prefer JRPG like Final Fantasy, Golden Sun, and Kingdom Hearts.
I kind of prefer turn based RPG because they require me to think on what action to use per turn instead of action RPGs where you can lose a battle because I was one second too slow at protecting myself during a boss fight, or the boss moves very quickly where it is very hard for me to hit the boss.

I think people forget about it because of how massive the multimedia franchise is.
On a side note, the term RPG Games is redundant af. It’s like ATM machine.

I personally like the Mario games that have a story line and the Harry Potter games. Does that count?

Harry Potter could be turn-based and the M&L RPG/Paper Mario is more turn-based with some commands to reduce or increase damage.

Although fantasy in general and D&D in particular hold a special place in my heart, my favorite genre of RPGs is SF.
