I don't have too many favourite characters.
But if I have to pick then I will probably go with Kenshin from Ruroni Kenshin and Balsa from Seirei no moribito

Sakata Gintoki from Gintama. While the anime is known for its comedy and parodies, now and then it has serious arcs with amazing fights.
