Female characters that have great character development?

There are very few female characters that have great character development.

1. Twelve kingdoms main protagonist.

2. Yona from Akatsuki no Yona

Do you guys know any?

There are a lot of females that do have a lot of development, but since it seems like you watch primarily action anime based off of shonen manga, the target demographic of young males doesn’t focus on female characters.
