sourceBack at E3, it was revealed that the PSP action RPG Final Fantasy Type-0 was being remastered for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. Recently, Silconera caught up with the game's director, Hijame Tabata, to discuss the changes that are being made to the game as it makes the transition from PSP to the current-gen consoles.
Tabata states that above all, the most important change being made to Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is perfecting the combat balance. Tabata added that difficulty modes will be included in the remastered version as he wants players to play through the game in it's entirety.
"Obviously, RPGs are long and they can take quite a bit of time to get through, but I put care into making the conclusion worth your while," Tabata said. "There's an emotional vision in the story and I really want people to experience that."
As for multiplayer, Tabata said that the team's focus on the story ultimately led to the decision to cut multiplayer from the game altogether. He also noted that this decision will lead to an earlier release date for Type-0 HD. The sleep-mode leveling feature from the PSP version will also be replaced. However, Tabata says that the team is still trying to figure out the best way to go about it.
Sounds like we're getting the better part of it.
