Those who don't have access to Weekly Shounen Jump or Weekly Famitsu can at long last get a glimpse at Sazh Katzroy, Final Fantasy XIII's latest character, and the reason people now think of afros and chocobos when someone mentions the newest entry in the main FF series. The first official online look comes via the FFXIII homepage which saw its first major update today.
While the section on Sazh doesn't contain any new information, visitors will find a number of medium-sized screenshots. Take a look for yourself under the "character" section of the site, and share some comments below about how much you love the hair.
More notable than Sazh's new official online home is what happens when you click on the "trailer" section of the site's navigation. A timer pops up with a countdown to what will presumably be a trailer unveiling this Wednesday. This, of course, would coincide nicely with earlier reports of new incoming footage.
The final piece of new content at the site is a short message from FFXIII director Motomu Toriyama. This is just a general message with no new revelations, but we do like this comment: "Final Fantasy XIII is the story of the future world that is born of crystals. With previously unexperienced visuals and a new battle system offering cool batles, it's also the future shape of RPGs."
That April 16 Japanese demo can't come soon enough!
