According to a report on VideoGamer.com, Final Fantasy XIII will hopefully be out in the US and Europe sooner than you'd first expect. Producer Yoshinori Kitase comments that while, traditionally, the English version Final Fantasy titles come out a half year after the Japanese version and then are delayed another half year for the European version, Final Fantasy XIII should hit store shelves in much more rapid succession.
Kitase comments: "We have already started recording English voices and also the text localization has been in progress, too. Normally we complete the Japanese version first, then move on to the US and EU versions, but this time there are some tasks that are happening simultaneously. So this time we're hoping to release sooner than a year later than the Japanese release."
This is great news for eager Final Fantasy fans, as other territories will be able to take part in the Final Fantasy love shortly after the Japanese audience sinks its teeth into the experience. Final Fantasy XIII is scheduled for a Japanese launch during Christmas of this year.
