Final Fantasy Advent Children Complete hits Japan in just over two weeks. For the importers out there, when you finish playing the Final Fantasy XIII demo for the hundreth time, we'd suggest inserting the movie disc into your PS3, as you'll discover plenty of new content.
The new content goes beyond just new video footage. Today, Square Enix announced that it has teamed up with Kyosuke Himuro and My Chemical Romance lead singer Gerard Way for a new ending theme song for the flick. When the credits roll, you'll be listening to "Safe and Sound," a song off Himuro's second album.
The theme song is described by Square Enix as a collaboration between Himuro and Way. The song will be made exclusively in English.
Himuro is no stranger to Advent Children, as his "Calling" was selected as the ending theme song for the original 2005 DVD and UMD release. That version, Square Enix noted today, went on to sell 3.1 million copies worldwide.
