Square Enix is set to launch a new streaming service in Japan that'll enable you to play a range of its titles on your smartphone or tablet.

According to a report by Gematsu, the Dive In service launches on October 9th, with titles like Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy VII, and Season Of Mystery: The Cherry Blossom Murders set to be available for both iOS and Android on that date.

Though the games come with a 30-minute free trial, after that time you're asked to pay if you want to continue playing. The prices vary depending on how long you want, with the time periods offered being three, 10 or 30 days, and then a full year.

The launch line-up will be expanded in November when Final Fantasy VIII and The Last Remnant join the party, with Final Fantasy  XIII-2 and Murdered: Soul Suspect arriving in December, and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII in 2015. A Square Enix account and Wi-Fi connection of at least 3mps is also needed.

There's no news on whether this service is coming West just yet, but we've reached out to Square Enix and will update the story as soon as we know more.
