Square Enix has confirmed today that Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is coming to PC on August 18, 2015.

The PC game will bring updated features including an improved in-game battle camera, full Steam achievements, trading cards, scalable motion blur settings and a customizable dynamic screen shot mode along with new character speed boosts and increased blood levels.

The game will also offer full controller support and "upgraded graphics resolution options" for top-end machines. Here is the following specs needed to play it:

Minimum System Requirements:

  •     Operating System: Windows 7, 8, 8.1 64bit
  •     Processor: CPU Core i3 2.5GHz
  •     Memory: RAM 4GB
  •     Disk Space: HDD/SSD 30GB
  •     Video: GTX560Ti or AMD Radeon 7790   mp4 [H.264]
  •     Sound: DirectX XAudio2API
  •     DirectX®: 11 and over

Recommended System Requirements:

  •     Operating System: Windows 7, 8, 8.1 64bit
  •     Processor: CPU Core i5 2.7GHz
  •     Memory: RAM 6GB
  •     Disk Space: HDD/SSD 30GB
  •     Video: GTX750 mp4 [H.264]
  •     Sound: DirectX XAudio2API
  •     DirectX®: 11 and over

And it wouldn't be a major release without some pre-order deals. pre-orders placed between now and the August 18 release date will receive "the Master Chocobo as your courier" and Moogle (Class Zero) as your ward in DOTA 2, plus "an exclusive" Final Fantasy Type-0 HD loading screen.
 
It is good that more Final Fantasy games is coming out for PC. It is too bad that Steam OS/Linux is not supported since the Steam Machine is coming out soon.
 
Yeah, neither is OS X. Like I previously said, I'm surprised about the limitation of compatible operating systems to Windows 7, 8 and 8.1. I know people who still use XP and Vista on computers that have the required specs to play this game...
