The evidence is adding up. In addition to Square Enix teasing a secret announcement related to Final Fantasy XIII, a new interview with Square Enix president Yoichi Wada at GamesIndustry.biz reveals the company has finished work on the Japanese version and the "final touches" are being applied to the North American and European versions of the game, currently slated for a vague "2010" release.
"The last stage of development has gone very smoothly this time," said Wada.
Wada's referring to the long-gestation and troubled development of Final Fantasy XII, which started in 2001 but suffered massive delays and did not see a release until 2006.
