MMORPG EverQuest, which launched in 1999, is plagued with cheaters. Sony Online Entertainment is fed up. So you better watch out, cheaters!
"Cheating has become a serious concern to our EQ player base this past year," wrote EverQuest Community Manager Piestro on the game's official forums. "Exploits and hacks strike at the very heart of a game, creating deep resentment in the community as selfish players gain benefit at the expense of their honest fellows."
Players have apparently been complaining. Sony Online Entertainment, the game's developer and publisher, is taking action.
Sony Online Entertainment warns cheaters to "stop now".
"This isn't an idle warning," Piestro continued. "We have quietly invested significant behind the scenes effort into detecting cheaters quickly and accurately."
Continuing, Piestro added, "You know who you are, we know who you are, and you now have your warning. We strongly advise you to take heed and reform your ways immediately. There will be no second chances."
You have been warned.

I don't think these guys are serious, if they were the ban hammer would have fallen.
