Finally bought a capture card

Nice. Elgato is a good brand for capture cards. I use the ElgatoHD60X, as I posted before:

Just bought ElgatoHD60x, it's great and I can use G-sync while docked with the Switch 2 now lol. Also it has zero lag passthrough, and only 35ms delay means I can play it on OBS or other Game capture software directly via the real-time full screen preview window on my pc's IPS screen which can be used with multiple OBS filter effects like pixel smoothing etc on the fly, and with HDR 60fps native capture and VRR supported. took some pics, I connected it with my Switch 2 dock in the pic, this will be great for recording and playing Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave on my Switch 2 next year!

The one that you bought has a latency ~68.5 milliseconds I believe so I suggest don't play a game using the real time preview, instead just use the passthrough connected to another screen.
 
I need to get me a newer Elgato capture card, the one I have only works with component. It also doesn't work with my Genesis since the Genesis outputs a different aspect ratio than other game consoles so the capture device can't display it properly.

Hopefully you have a powerful computer to handle all that, because recording videos is CPU/GPU bound. Capture cards can only do so much, so if you're planning to livestream... Powerful computer. POWERFUL COMPUTER. I cannot stress it enough. If you don't, then this is what happens:

I hope you're having a lot of fun recording gameplay, lol. My stance remains. Especially 4k content.
