Some unfortunate news to 3DS owners, but in a recent interview, producer of the series, Hitoshi Yamagami, spoke with Dengeki Nintendo that Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, will be the last mainline 3DS entry. It seems that production for future titles will be moving over to the Switch indefinitely.
 
I'm sad that Fire Emblem won't be handheld anymore, but at the same time I'm glad because I have a Switch and nothing to play.

I swear I'm the only person who forgets that it's part console and part handheld. Like it's sitting unplugged in the dock and every time I want to check the eshop for something new I plug it in when I don't have to. Though, imo, it's not very viable for a handheld because it can't fit in my pocket. If it can't fit in my pocket, it doesn't leave my house.
