Fire Emblem Warriors

I haven't played it yet, but I'm planning on it. There's too much on my gaming plate already and this isn't a number 1 priority. I might get it in December if I beat Mario Odyssey and Pokemon Ultra Sun by then.

How's this compared to Hyrule Warriors?

better, imo. Loved both, but the FE installment is just better
What about leveling up? Do you have to balance characters levels still? The thing I hated most about Hyrule Warriors is that you had to basically level up everyone and there were certain characters I hated playing as so I got stuck because I'm underleveled with not a lot of ways to level up. I mean, the only characters I enjoyed play as was Link, Zelda, Lana, Young Link, Shiek, Impa, and sometimes Ruto. So with the rest of the cast left out, once I reached character based missions for a character I barely ever used I was screwed.

you can switch the characters to best fit. The weapon triangle is still applied, which is a standard Fire Emblem thing. Overall, it's a great combination of what makes the Fire Emblem and the Warriors series great respectively. The story is also very good, albeit they could have branched into other games, but the reasoning makes a lot of sense as to why they stuck to Awakening, Shadow Dragon and Birthright/Conquest

Nice.

How is the level variety though? Do we replay the same map often?

I haven't played this game - Fire Emblem Warriors, there are so many games designed in such manner just like Final Fantasy game series. But after watching the YouTube video of the game, I must admit that it's one hell of a game. I might be giving it a trial sooner or later.
