On Friday, Mozilla's Senior Director of Firefox Engineering, Johnathan Nightingale, said that the company's popular Web browser is about to get a lot more social. The team has been working on social-specific features since the beginning of the year, and the first components are expected to be dumped into Mozilla Central -- the primary Firefox development repository -- this week.
I'm guessing Firefox will soon let users search for friends and messages on social networks with the Firefox search box, and let you use Firefox to Tweet on Twitter, and post a status update, picture, and video on Facebook, YouTube, and other social sites while reading your different friend feeds on a sidebar.
I wonder could this increase social networking spam from real humans and bots from Firefox users if Firefox makes it easier for users to post more on social networks with an add-on and new features.
I also got a feeling the Firefox post might have a linkback to Firefox like Posted with Firefox web browser like many of those Twitter and Facebook posting apps which also add a link to the app maker website in the Tweets or Facebook post signature.
