The 3DS reached somewhat of a milestone just a few days after its launch as Nintendo gave the system its first firmware update. Those who have the system may notice that the blue notice light has lit up. You can go into the settings menu and select to upgrade your firmware.
Joining a few bug fixes, the update adds the system's 3D video player along with its first 3D video. The video is a clip of the Super Mario Bros. theme being performed live by composer Koji Kondo and a band.
For the record, the update takes the system to version 1.1.0-1J.
