Foe
This is a conflicting film for me. On one hand it's a very interesting thriller that kept me interested throughout. On the other hand it's also a very confusing film that just didn't really seem to click for me.
This probably requires a rewatch but I don't have the time or patience for one so I'll just say that I do think this film is worth a watch, but it's also a very complex film to describe.
It'll probably be talked about as a highlight of 2024 at least, so that'll be cool to see.
Thirteen Lives
It's a pretty good film. The plot and characters are solid enough, the ending is heartwarming and nice. It's just a very nice biodrama about the Thai cave rescue of 2018.
I don't really have anything else to add, I just think it's neat.
Surrounded
It's pretty good, a little slow at times but it does entertain. I'd call it a very enjoyable western, and would recommend it.
It's not really a film I have anything more to say on so, just go watch it.
Overdose
This was originally a French film, so it might just be the dubbing but the dialog in this one was pretty bad. Like, straight up this was some of the worst dubbing I've ever seen.
Even without the bad dialog, the film was incredibly uninteresting, it was just a story about a drug cartel and I honestly just didn't care.
None of these characters were interesting in the slightest and I honestly don't recommend this to anyone.
The Wall
It was perfectly fine. The ending was genuinely pretty stupid however, the main villain just takes a helicopter down with a sniper rifle and it doesn't really make much sense.
The two main characters were okay, John Cena was good when he wasn't unconscious. The other guy was cool, I guess.
This film is really slowly paced which wasn't horrible but it did kind of take forever to sit through. Overall, it's fine.
