forum mod/skin makers

For IPB, VB, mybb, ect. There are people who make mods and skin for them like enchanting a feature or make something stand out more. Some of these are free, some are not. I understand the need to make a living but charging $12 for a one month used skin and $10 for a referral system makes me think some of these people are crazy to the core.

your thoughts?

Indeed, it is kind of expensive. They might make more by charging less money since more people will be buying it if it is good. But, it can be worth it compared to making the forum skin and mods yourself or hiring someone since it can take days, weeks, or month to make it.

If these guys making this stuff is good enough to get paid, then I know it don't take them long to make it. maybe a week at the most. which I say is worth $5 at the most.

Indeed $5 is a more suitable price. Plus they probably make more since I notice their mod and skins topics get a lot of views, but very few purchases like 14-19. If they mange to sell 100 mods at 5 dollars they will get 500.

You think thats bad,look at the paid mods and themes for mybb ... its nuts..

I can understand if you make something like smf gallery pro and the major ipb mods,but simple things like that is stupid..

I really didn't look at mybb much, is it that much $$$?

That is ridiculous and it makes me glad that I'll always opt to make my own..

I usually make my own mods myself, or follow tutorials I find online.

But, I think some people will still buy these since their forum is making a lot of money from ads and selling products, so they can afford these mods.
