Forums ten years from now

Do you think forums will still be around ten years from now?
 
I can only hope so. Maybe they will somehow become linked to virtual reality. Who knows?
 
I think forums will be around in 10 years because forums are a good way for organizing many posts into different categories/sections instead of one long feed like Twitter, and Facebook.

Plus, they usually load faster on slower connections because they usually have fewer ads, scripts, large pictures, and auto-play videos which are more commonly found on websites, blogs, and social networks.
 
There will always be forums. I think it would be mainly for people to find friends in the privacy of their own usernames or as a side chat. Just to get away from certain people as well because not everyone wants to be a part of it.
 
I feel forums are popular with people who use older computers and smartphones like Windows 98 and 2000 computers and Android 2.3 and Blackberry smartphones which is no longer fully compatible with some social websites like YouTube, so forums maybe the few types of discussion/chat type websites which work on old computer and smartphones in 10 years if most websites in 10 years will use newer technology like Virtual Reality, Metaverse, 4K video streaming, more advance web apps, and HTML5 which may have technical compatibility problems which prevent older computers and smartphones from working on them in the future.

I think there are still some forum software which work on older web browsers like Internet Explorer, and Netscape.
 
I think in 10 years, forum themes and post editors may work better on smartwatches like the Apple Watch and other small screen devices.

Meta Forums is gonna be a thing for sure 100% I am pretty Xenforo and all other forums will move into it 10 years from lol it will be interesting to see forums like that
 
I wonder would most forums in 10 years will have voice and video replies to topics instead of mainly text replies.
 
I think in 10 years more higher quality forum games which may have 3D graphics and better sound instead of mainly text and 2D flash/web browser games on some forums and social networks like Facebook.

Yep, there will always forums! Even if mine is offline, I'll still have the database, and the forum software backed up somewhere in case I want to put it online again! But there's no plan to take Nintendo 3DS Central offline anytime soon!
