What are some forums that are no longer around, but you miss having around?
I'm sure a few people here remember Forum Hour which was a webmaster forum owned by pandaa (I think). That was a fun site to be on
There was an anime forum I used to frequent quite a few years ago. A good bit of the community was fun, but the owner’s incompetence and cocky attitude ran people off. The service it was hosted on also ended up shutting down, so since we all bailed on the site, the admin didn’t bother bringing it back up.
The admin was a game developer, and got super cocky because his terrible games got 3 (count them) positive reviews and he was earning a whopping $5 a month on patreon.
He was so cocky, than when people were telling him about his spelling and grammatical errors, he blew us off because we “couldn’t understand the artistic perfection”.
I just checked, his Patreon is kept up to date (he now makes a whopping $28 a month from 4 backers!!!!), but it seems like he’s disappeared from forums around the time his forum died out, and his Twitter is dead.Almost got to wonder where that kind of person is at today.
Yeah, I loved their little unique feature with the top poster of the last hour getting their advertisement banner featured on the index.I recall that site, shame it vanished.

I do remember the guy being a massive NEET. He was a year younger than me, and didn’t want to get a job because he was convinced he was going to make millions of this game in 2-3 years. His forum died in 2017.
If the guy wasn't so cocky, it'll just be yet another failed amateur ambition. That is such an epic fail. Reminds me back when people thought they could open better RP forums and keep it going at best 3 months.

That part about RP forums just sounds like typical Forumpromotion shit, where people were anal about keeping some weird user post count to joining ratio (or whatever), and kept nuking their forums and starting it over and over. Ah yes, very trustworthy, the forum made by the guy who's on his 15th iteration of the same forum that he'll shut down in 3 months.
