Fractured: Conquest, the faction-centric online war game formerly known as Fractured Online, has introduced the new Greatsword weapon in a new video that also shows off its basics, including its weapon abilities.
The Greatsword is equippable by any archetype simply by picking it up, and essentially asks the player to sacrifice defense for a great offense. Unlike other weapons, its basic attack also cleaves, hitting all enemies in a range before it.
Its first ability is a Blade Spin, which sends the character spinning with its blade in a whirlwind while putting the player in an untouchable state. The other is the Sundering Smash, which damages, slows, and even silences any enemies in the player’s path. Both of these abilities are enhanced by “Momentum,” which increases Blade Spin’s duration and improves the slow and silence for Sundering Smash.
The archetype aspect of Fractured were recently introduced via a preview video, with weapons and armor rounding out a players’ gameplay style.
