This is my first time ever reviewing a game so I'm excited for this.
The game revolves around a young boy named Seto who lives in a small dome with an unseen but mentioned Old Man who past away before the events of the game even starts. Shortly afterwards he discovers and reads a letter written by the Old Man in the backroom. The letter is told after Old Man passes away, journey to a Red Tower that there might be survivors there. Seto inherits a strange Stone the Old Man left that gives him the ability to see ghosts and spirits. On his way he meets a strange silver hair girl clad in blue sitting on a slanted pillar like stone. After their meeting, she leaves, resulting Seto to follow her and his adventure begins from there on.
Gameplay (7/10)
The controls are WIi Remote and Numchuck only. To be honest I was hoping there to be an option to use the Gamecube Controller because I didn't want to waste battery power on my Wii Remote. Most reviews I've read have mentioned the game being similiar to horror games such as Silent Hill and other RPG games. I haven't played much games like those but for my own thoughts on this, I sense most a mixture of many games I've played on the Playsation to Wii. I get most the feeling of Kingdom Hearts with Luigi's Mansion because the player ventures with a flashlight in one hand using it against evil spirits to weakened them with and a weapon in the other battling their enemies. There are also characters that are met throughout the game that serve the player as supportive allies identifying areas and sensing enemies lurking nearby like Goombario in Paper Mario. The battle system is like Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7's when they approach an enemy, combat mode activates and the enemy appears on map. To save the game, players must come across a small bonfire. While in the bonfire, they are given the ability to save their game, use their briefcase as a storage and once in a while buy items from a merchant met later in the game who sells useful items that become greater as the game progresses. What also I thought was a good idea was using Fireflies flying around a certain area that indicates either an item is located there or a savepoint. I mean most of the time you're in dark places so it's difficult finding these things.
What made me lose points on this was due to how slow the movement was. It takes a long time to climb down ladders, running is quite slow, there is no ability to jump, climb certain things or fall off small ledges. One thing that I most disliked was that there were at times where the player must venture through endless hallways (the image below for example) and long staircases which I found annoying as hell. Not to mention items located in areas that lead to far deadends that result in nothing but traveling WAY back to your main location.

The character designs are what you find in most 3D anime games. To make it simple, it looks sort of like the Tales of series. Textures on characters are neat. The area design are well described with the game's setting being in ruins and abandoned in its state. Gosh, even the dark places made me feel as if something was going to pop up and attack me the moment I turn a corner or look behind me.
Music (10/10)
The game's soundtrack is just simply amazing! It has calm, relaxing, and tragic themes that fit perfect during the cutscenes. It really puts up the mood. And for an anime fan such as myself, I could listen to the soundtrack for hours or even leave my game on while the music such as the title screen and the like plays:

Misc (9/10)
Not only does the player venture after for the mysterious girl he ran into in the beginning of the game, there are also hidden items found in various places in the game that hold sad memories of a human's regret in their life that they never got to accomplish. They can be viewed when the player discover mystery boxes and bringing them to the fire place (save point). The memories read on the bonfire can be powerful and strike to the reader as if it were a real situation. What made this 9 was the locations and useless attempts I had to go through which was a pain in the ass.
Overall Summary (10/10)
The game is just simply amazing overall with the game's setting being the end of human kind and a young boy setting off on a journey in search for survivors. Fragile Dreams has excellent tragic twists in it's plot. As Seto adventures to parts in town, he runs into various characters and befriends them. As he finally developes friendship, later at a certain point they reach the end of their life stock, causing Seto to break down in tears because he again is left alone. I feel sorry for the boy having to face through so many hardships as he progresses in his adventure.
I definitely recommend giving this game a go. I score this game a 9.5 / 10, (95%).
