Solution for Surface pro 4 flickering issue!! ... temporary of course... leave it some minutes inside your freezer and you see it works.. Of course after few minutes flickering starts again... but who cares!! for sure Microsoft doesn't.. My next office will be inside a freezer room :)
no kidding now ,.. Its obvious that is temperature issue!!!

I wonder if using a large external fan to blow on the tablet will work at cooling rhe tablet enough, so it does not flicker.

A colleague who uses a Surface Pro 4 as his work PC showed it me at work yesterday.
He was anything but pleased about this video. Σ(・∀・;)

I would not be pleased as well if I owned a tablet, and found out that the cooling system fails where users need to use a freezer to cool down the tablet with a freezer, so the screen does not flicker.

I feel using a freezer to cool a tablet will end up costing you more money than buying a new tablet like another Windows 10 tablet, iPad, Google Android tablet, etc. Electricity can be very expensive in some places like Hawaii. USA where people can spend hundreds of dollars on electricity per month. Every time the fridge or freezer door is open, more cold air escapes through the open door, so the freezer uses more electricity.

Over time, sticking a hot Surface Pro 4 in the Fridge freezer can damage the Fridge freezer because the freezer was never designed for people to put hot food like hot pizza in the freezer, and the refrigeration system can wear out sooner if it needs to work harder at cooling down the fridge and freezer.

Freezer repairs can be very expensive, and freezers can cost hundreds to thousands of dollars.

Seriously I wouldn't have even bothered trying this, ice and electricity don't mix guys.

I agree this is a bad idea. Water and electricity don't mix, and there is a chance of electrocution if the tablet comes in contact with water while in the freezer, and you were holding the tablet.

I would be concerned that the low temperature of the freezer, and condensation will damage the battery, and charging/power components on the tablet.

If the battery, and charging port and other parts gets damaged, it can make the tablet unsafe to use. I seen a few videos of people's laptops, smartphones, and tablets exploding, catching on fire, and overheating.

The cold temperature of the freezer may make the wire's plastic crack over time and cause electrical sparks if the wire comes in contact with other parts.

I've seen video of people biting into an iphone battery and almost killing thenselves.

I also seen that video of someone biting into an iPhone battery, and exploding. Hopefully future iPhone batteries have a hard protective shell to prevent damage from being bitten or bent.

It is lucky no tech video creator on YouTube, and tech blogs got injured from a explosion while bending the iPhone 6 Plus to make a YouTube video on if the iPhone 6 Plus can be bent with your hand.

I haven't seen that video personally, but I heard about it from colleagues at work while going to a snackbar for lunch last Friday.
To me it's just common sense to not bite in an iPhone, because you might only damage your teeth with it, and you'll need to refund the iPhone in case it's not yours.
Apparently, we can add a new reason on why you should not bite an iPhone. 草

Here's the story and below is the video: PSA: Don't bite your iPhone battery like this guy; it can explode

What's worse?
The fact the iPhone exploded after biting it, or the fact the guy that just entred the camera's reach doesn't seem to give a fuck at all?

I would have to say the guy who walked past doesn't give a rat, but then you don't know if he saw it though.

It is disappointing that people don't care to help fire victims out these days. The guy looks like he does not want to help.

But, there is a chance that he has a physical disability which may prevent him from hearing, seeing, and sensing the explosion, or he has a mental problem like anxiety which makes it hard for him to help people without feeling anxious.

He may just be having a bad day, and is not in the mood to help the people near the explosion.

that guy is a dumbass. *shakes head*

Anyways, I'll do a freezer cool down if my tech becomes really hot. Otherwise I wouldn't do it because of the moister that can seep in.
I could (if you wanted) Start a new topic full of those dumb videos.

He might just want to check whether the iPhone is aluminium or plastic, since it's quite common to get replicated goods in China unless you're in Hong Kong. (fearful smile)

I think weighing the battery with an electronic scale may also work at seeing if the iPhone battery is more likely to be real since plastic has a different weight than aluminum, and most real iPhone batteries of the same size most likely weigh the same. Tapping on the battery with a stick, and hearing if it makes a metallic sound when tap may also work at detecting plastic covered battery.

I think replicated goods are also uncommon in Macau like Hong Kong because people in Macau want the real item, and it is a tourist city which rely a lot on tourism for its economy. Macau is mostly known for casinos, luxury hotels, theme parks, Car and motorcycle Racing, and being a former Portuguese colony before it was returned to China in 1999.
