Microtransactions are key components of free to play video games because it's one of biggest strategies used in monetizing such games. But when such strategies are used in full price games, it becomes very frustrating to deal with. Take for instance how the developers of Assassin's Creed Unity which is a full price game sold at $60 give or take uses microtransactions in the game in a way that it's set up a grind for you to buy into the microtransactions.

How do you feel about this?

I don't like microtransactions on full price games because it prevent some poorer gamers from fully playing and enjoying the game if they can't afford the microtransactions.

It's just pure extortion of the gamers on games they have already paid for.

DLC maybe. Microtransactions no. I don't have the money for that. Even if I was a professional Overwatch 2 player. I want to support Activision/Blizzard but not that way.

I'm always open to paying for a new DLC that's worth it. You can never go wrong with it.
