As Deadline reports, an email was sent to remaining staff today by David Scott, the CEO of parent company Spectator, a division of Comcast. In this memo Scott “explained that the company’s investment and efforts to revive the network just didn’t gain traction.”

This is sad news for G4 fans. Hopefully, most G4 workers would be able to quickly find new jobs.

I'm not shocked at all to be thoroughly honest. The landscape of journalism has changed for the games industry, and G4 was just far too behind the times.

Let's be honest though, the current incarnation of G4 was garbage to begin with, and TBH even if that one chick hadn't hijacked the show to rant about whatever, it still would have failed.

I read a tiny news strip on the bottom of the weather channel that it had a channel a month ago lol.
