I may have asked this before, but I'm looking into getting a capture device to record game footage for GF's youtube channel (Wii U smash anyone?)

Anyone here have any recommendations and any issues I should keep an eye out for? One I see right now is that there may be lag on the screen while playing a game.

And update, I decided to get

Elgato - Game Capture HD60

Via amazon, and after getting their credit card and signing up as a student, I got free 2 day shipping and $30 off my order.

Sooooo, expect me to post some Destiny gameplay next week!

It only really makes sense to get a HD one now, anything else would be a waste of money.
If you have slow internet upload speeds, or use dial-up or slower internet, the SD version would be good since uploading a 720P-1080P HD gameplay videos can take many hours with a slower internet connection with slow uploads speeds would take 30 minutes to hours to upload if your ISP also slows down your upload speed if you upload too much, or too many large files to the internet. Some internet service providers also limit the amount of bandwidth you use a month before they slow down your internet, or make you pay a high overage fee for going over your limit.

I watch a news story on TV which tested uploading large files to the web, and it took a long time on the Cable, and DSL internet connections they tested becuase the uploads speeds are slow.

A lot of older computers, and laptops may have trouble recording HD video because of less RAM, and slower CPU, and some PC's hard drive may not have enough space to store HD video on smaller hard drives on older computers.
