Hi all. This is a closed and pinned topic that is used to give you a general overview of what this board's about and how it works. So without further ado, I shall get right into it.
What Are Game Nights?
Game Nights is just a term used to coin a get together of members in this community playing a single game. It isn't necessarily occurring at night. But basically, all the players of Mario Kart 7 will congregate in one topic, and all the Kid Icarus: Uprising players will meet up at another topic.
How Do The Topics Work?
The hosts of each game will run each game's individual topic. They will use the topic to talk to other players, announce upcoming game nights for fun, organise tournaments for the game and also provide it as a hub for players to meet.
Are There Any Guidelines?
Yes, there are a few, but they're easy:

Are There Any Guidelines?
Yes, there are a few, but they're easy:
- Only one topic per game
- Ask a staff member before you make a topic for a game, to avoid any clashes (and to get approval)
- Be committed to hosting some interesting events
- Any game can have unlimited hosts, but one to three is an ideal number. Any more than three and it will be too crowded
How Can I Make My Topic A Success?
Here are some thoughts to consider:
- Have a list of friend codes in the first topic. Ask members if they want their friend codes posted and put them there for all to see. It's a great way to let members quickly see who else is playing
- Figure out where your players live and what timezones they're in. It will take some organisation but you'll be able to get your game nights running off the ground once you can figure out one or two general time areas when you should get a few members to play
- Try PM'ing specific game night members to remind them about upcoming events and get input
- Ask what your fellow game players would like to see from your game nights
- Interact with your game players! Remember, you're just a game player yourself with the job of organising, you aren't more important or anything, but what you do is for free and to help others, which everyone will greatly appreciate!
