First announced via a new post on Xbox Wire, it's been revealed that the price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is dropping from $29.99 to $22.99 a month, starting today. On top of that, the price of PC Game Pass will also be dropping from $16.49 to $13.99, with prices obviously varying depending on your region.

However, we know that there can be no good news without bad news as well. It was rumored that Call of Duty could be leaving the service earlier this month, but Xbox has now confirmed that — probably in order to actually drop the price — future Call of Duty games will not be coming to Xbox Game Pass on the day of launch.

Thankfully, that doesn't mean that these Call of Duty games will never come to the service at all. Xbox has made it clear that future games in the series will be made available on Game Pass around a year after they launch, which isn't great if you like to get invested in the yearly Call of Duty multiplayer cycle, but it is at least something if you enjoy playing them.
