Got on the popular gamefaqs website the other day and noticed they redesigned the whole site. It looks rather nice.

It's not a bad design. Though I don't think it was ground-breakingly different enough for it to matter one way or the other.

The old GameFAQ seem to load slightly faster, and seems more simple to use.

they kept to what made the site good, which is good.

They should do this a long time ago.  I thought they never redesign the site. It use to more popular in the past before the age of social network. They use to prune the old post back then.

I think fan forums on video games have more to do with GameFaQ being less popular since now any popular games have hundreds or more fan forums dedicated to the game. There are probably hundreds of forums about Halo run by fans because running a forum is free on free forums, Jcink, InvisionFree, and running your own forum with your own web host and domain name cost under $60 a year if you subscribe to cheap web hosting, and use Namecheap for domain names.
