games they won't make a movie for, but should!

The original Halflife Deathmatch is a game that I think they should really make a movie for but the creator of HL said in an interview that lots of producers asked but he will never allow it.

What game you think they should make a movie out of?
 
Megaman, Metriod, Halo, and Perfect Dark.
 
It would be cool to see some horror games succesfully pulled off, ie. dead space, amnesia(prolly nvr gonna happen) or condemned. i'd also love mass effect and some open world games turned into movies. i'd die laughing of a minecraft movie :rofl:
 
I remember when I was younger, like 9 or 10, I used to be addicted to the Spyro game titles - and have a vivid recollection of hoping for a movie on those games...  To my knowledge, it never happened :(
 
They should make a Mechwarrior or Battletech based movie. I'm a huge fan of Mechwarrior 3 and 4, I would pay to see any film based on that IP, as long as it was done faithfully of course. Too bad that currently there's so many problems with that IP.
 
My top three would have to be Metroid, Metal Gear, and Mega Man.  As a Protomen fan, I really wish that someone would write up a treatment for a Mega Man trilogy with many of the same dark undertones that The Protomen have set in their music. 

Metroid would make an epic trilogy, and Metal Gear would be fantastic as well. 

I'm also yearning to see a Legend of Zelda movie, but I know that this will probably never happen.
 
I think 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Door would make for crazy awesome movie. The multiple endings could be tricky though, and I don't know if many people would watch it - too much science talk and anime style craziness for the average viewer. I'd love to see it, though.
Other than that, I agree with everybody who said Metroid. That would be really awesome.
 
My gut reaction to seeing movies based on games is don't do it. Too many movies based off games are just bad. 

But if the studio themselves makes the movie (like in FF7:AC's case) then it tends to turn out better since they know what they're doing. 

So on that note, I'd love to see Nintendo have a go at a Metroid movie. I think they could make a pretty good tale. (Just abandon the Metroid: Other M version of Samus since that seemed pretty out of character for her.)

Also, I'd love to see a Megaman X movie either in CG or in anime style (or just as an anime because that'd be awesome too and Capcom's worked with Madhouse before on that DMC anime). 


They also did sort of make a Halo movie called Halo Legends... It's a clip movie (like The Animatrix) where like 7 different studios each make part of the whole. It was pretty good. But a full Halo movie would be pretty good too.

A Resistance movie could be good. And I know they've got a Ratchet and Clank movie in the works (which I can't wait for).
