Gamestop: 360 has 2-1 lead over PS3 in GTA IV's first week sales

GameStop has revealed their first-week sales numbers for Grand Theft Auto IV exclusively to Level Up and they're certainly not too surprising. According to the specialy retail giant, roughly 64 percent of the copies sold were on the Xbox 360, with the other 36 percent (obviously) for the PlayStation 3.

Microsoft FTW? According to Level Up's number crunching, an Xbox 360 victory is not quite so clear. Comparing the NPD group numbers that indicate a 9.9 million Xbox 360 install base versus 4.1 million PlayStation 3s (roughly 70/30), the Xbox 360 version actually "underperformed."

Wow, that's suprising. But a lot of people aren't GTA fans and are more into call of duty and halo 3 the two other xblive titans. So it definetly makes sense to me.
