Other GameStop Cancels Midnight Release Events

Given the current state of the world and how Gamestop employees are raging on their related reddit, Gamestop will cancel all Midnight release events for the foreseeable future. This cancellation will affect the Midnight Release events of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Doom Eternal. Gamestop sent out this memo:

“Until further notice, late night launch events are suspended,” the memo reads. “To maintain the health and safety of our guests and associates, it is best that we avoid situations where large numbers of guests are gathered indoors or standing in line.”

I feel many expected this to happen since some places want people to not go out of their home as often.
