As spotted by Kotaku, four employees at the Gateway Mall location in Lincoln, Nebraska have made the decision to quit GameStop simultaneously, leaving the door to the busy location locked to any gamers looking to make a purchase. With a note from the GameStop employees taped to the door, shoppers were informed that the team quit because their "district manager has no respect" for them as "employees or human beings." According to the post, sales quotes and performance weren't being met despite the employees' best efforts and the team had less than six months to reach the lofty expectations referred to in the note.

I agree it's unfair they are forcing sales goals when they just get hired in the middle of the month. Perhaps they can cut a deal in the future where only a fraction of sales is needed instead for employees according to what sold for the month and what they are still expected to sell to keep employed.

I hope the employees, who quit Gamestop, can find a new job where their boss are respectful to them.

Hopefully, Gamestop's executives find a way to improve Gamestop's working conditions for retail staff.

They really shouldn't require goals in the first place, specially when they, the employees, are forced to do sales at the register.
