As the statement goes, "better late than never;" video game retail giant GameStop released a statement today saying that they have finally gotten their hands on enough Nintendo Wiis to meet all of their stores demand for the console. The news comes more than three years after the initial release of the Wii, which leads you to believe that either assembly lines aren't what they use to be, or Nintendo was just holding back and making us sweat all these years on purpose. In other news, you'll be glad to know that there are also plenty of Atari Jaguars and TurboGrafx-16's in stock as well.

GameStop's senior VP of merchandising Bob McKenzie seemed very pleased with himself as he detailed the chain's Wii situation in an interview with Gamasutra. "You know, three years later, we finally have enough inventory on the shelf, and we've got a couple of weeks in supply of this. That's good because we can finally determine and gauge it before we get into the fourth holiday season."
