GameStop and Nintendo will team up this weekend to host a nationwide Super Smash Bros. competition.
On October 4 at 11 am local time, the Nintendo World Store and fifteen GameStop locations will host 64-player local tournaments using Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 3DS. The competition is first-come, first-serve, and those who wish to compete do not need to pre-register. Competitors are allowed to use their own systems, although providing their own will not be necessary.
The winners of each of these tournaments will win a trip to New York, where they will have a chance to compete against each other for a trophy and championship robe in the Nintendo 3DS National Open Tournament at Nintendo World. Spectators will be able to watch a live stream of the competition online.
