For people like me with a short attention span and ADHD and bipolar types 1 and 2, gaming is a Godsend because it's letting me multi-task better and for me, it's making me do something that I enjoy and forget about the suffering in my life. What about you? Do you think gaming could help you multi-task better personally according to you?
Multi-tasking won't make you better at either task, but for something that requires less precision, it helps you learn how to manage time. Adding another thing you want to do to your list of chores or tasks gives you another angle for problem-solving, so given your understanding of logic in a game does help you work out jobs. I think the idea of why games are valuable tends to gravitate around your brain needing stimulation in an arduous life. So giving it something to work out and enjoy is a good motivator for the other things so long as it's an active thinking environment.
It is possible that Gaming can make a gamer better at Multi-tasking if the game involves Multi-tasking like playing a first person shooter game where a character multi-task like running around while shooting enemies, and also picking up guns, ammo.
When it comes to gaming and multitasking it is not something I am able to do as I feel if I try to do something whilst I am gaming I can lose my focus and it just confuses me. I find that I am better if I just focus on gaming or focus on something else separately but I can not do more than one at any given time.
