Other Gaming isn't an addiction

I've had times when I must say, I disagree with this *whistles innocently*
 
For the majority it isn't an addiction but I think there are a few people living in basements (most likely in the US) that are definitely addicted to gaming
 
Well , if it is an addiction, isn't a good one vs something like cocaine or other drugs? Just saying...
 
I used to hear stories of people playing a lot of World of Warcraft, but I feel the people who play a lot of WoW and other games are mainly bored with their life, and use games as an escape from their boring lives.
